Heat, vibration (bolted direct to the engine) and the fact it is pulling rather than pushing.

Original VP-144,000+ uncorrected do to large tire whole life of truck.

1-LP at 100,000

1-CPS changed today only for piece if mind

1-AIT changed today only for piece of mind

Currently using 10liters to 100 kilometers. I think that is aroung 23mpg. Yes I get that minf of fuel mileage. I even haul on the autobahn and still get 18mpg at 90mph.

thought:

with the gauge i can monitor the LP to prevent it from keeping hte vp-44 pump cool........can i monitor the vp-44? the LP could be good and the vp-44 pump could be go'n out right?

the LP from the "store" is $200ish...........is it better to buy an aftermarket? if so which and whats it cost?

02 with 5 speed
The VP shelled out at 83,000 but gave quite a bit of intermittant warning and was running fine the morning I took it in to the shop. Martin Swanty Dodge in Kingman, AZ replaced both the LP and the VP. I've had excellent service from them, it's a work truck and they had it back to me in 1 1/2 days.
My fuel (and other) filters are replaced regularly.
Happened in May, not particularly hot weather.

JTMcC.
