Question Over boost Help!

I have a completely stock truck. I had the 1693 (companion code) and 0234 (Turbo boost limit exceeded) codes. Can anyone explain how to clear the codes w/o going to dealer or Autozone (very far away). I tried disconnecting the batteries for 13 hours - didn't work.

Passed an Autozone and cleared the codes. They both came back in the next 100 miles. Empty truck and below 65 MPH!

What could be causing these codes? Sprayed lubricant on wastegate arm and bearing. How do I clear the codes to see if this fixed problem? What size socket to remove MAP sensor to clear and test?

On mine I unhook the battery, let it set 2 hours and then step on the brake pedal. After that it should be cleared. The local Dodge dealer said to do it that way. It works on mine.

Big Rod,
Thanks! You don't have a signature so what year and model truck do you have? Is the key on or off while the battery cables are unplugged? Is the positive terminal grounded for the two hours or just disconnected and sitting there?

Thanks!

i,ve tried every tip i've found on this forum and i can't clear an overboost code. it's been on there for weeks now. i haven't heard about the brake pedal thing until now so i'll try that. personally, i think it's set in flash memory.

The over boost code came from the waste gate not being opened by waste gate controller. The rod end of the controller was corroded to the waste gate lever (pin with moon "C" clip). Since the rod end couldn't turn on the pin, the waste gate wasn't opening!

Any idea what boost pressure was when the overboost code was set. I have diable my wastegate completely, and have not set an overboost code even though I have run boost up to 28psi.
