Oil pan leak?
Howdy all
I've been looking at a 00 CTD w/ 207k mi on it, and noticed it has a leak on the bottom of the oil pan. Is that a problem? I'm thinking its not, but its best to ask dumb questions and not have expensive repairs
Steering is also wandering.
Thanks so much in advance! This site is awesome!

Two places to look for the oil leak source are the breather bottle mounted on the lower left of the engine. That will also coat the fan and front of the engine. Easy to fix by extending the breather tube down and back towards the rear of the engine. The other is the seal leaking between the vacuum pump and the power steering pump. Look for this leak from below the truck. This is also not a very hard repair. As far as the wander, if it's 4WD check the track bar. It could be loose tie rod ends as well as loose ball joints. Those could be expensive.
