NV4500 1-3/8" input shaft upgrade
 

I am looking at installing a Valair dual disk clutch before long, which means larger 1-3/8" input shaft. I need some tips, or even installation instructions because I have not done this before. Is it fairly straight forward, or are there special tools needed. Thanks!

very easy to replace. remove the four bolts holding the retainer to the trans case and pull the retainer and shaft out. if you are going to buy a input shaft buy a good one dont go cheap have seen some of these rake the teeth of them. haisleys and eep sell the good ones.

What constitutes a "good" input shaft? Are the ones South Bend and Valair sell separate not "good" ones?
