NV-4500 Transmission
HI All, I have a question, I was wondering if any of you have heard of OR used an STX Gear transmission, I was thinking of buying one, I would like to get a new Trans instead of a reman if possible. I need to get this changed over a weekend.
Don't want to break any rules and post the shortcut here.
Here is a reply I got from the vendor..
gearking
we build the transmissions in house from scratch with all 100% brand new parts
After digging deeper here is the vendor.
Allstate Gear Inc.

Thanks.

You can't believe everything you read on the net, as we all know you can't please everyone.
Take this with a grain of salt.

Yes I saw all of those,, You have to figure out who does not know the correct end of the wrench to use, I was wonder if anyone here has had dealings with this company.

Well to sell a transmission with all brand new parts that are discontinued from OEM supply means it is a 100% aftermarket transmission. I'd probably rather have a quality rebuilt unit. Wish I could help more, only have suggestions on where to get good parts for them.

I hear ya
I know,,,, the key word here would be quality..
On that rebuild did they use cheap Chinese bearings OR go with Timken? I would do it myself BUT I don't have an extra vehicle to drive while my daily driver is down. I do agree with you, ALL aftermarket parts and how good are they. I have talked to a couple of shops locally, BUT they have to order it also just like I would have to and they wont rebuild it. I here high gear in Memphis is SUPPOSED to be good,, Also this little place in PA,, Joes Transmissions.
There are just so many, Don't really know who to pick ,, I just want a tranny that last.
Thanks for the info
