I picked up my truck yesterday form the dealer. Had a new pump put on under warranty. The pump has been going out for about 3 months. (code 216) you would have thought that starvation of fuel would have killed it. The truck is making 450 to the tire with stock LP and some wildcat highflow banjos. But is was water, yep water the pump was full of rust even with additive. The water/fuel light never came on. I must had gotten some bad fuel a couple times. I the pump was done under warranty because I switched the pumps electronics with some off of a pump that the wire was not crimped. So if you have access to a good core it might save you some $$$$

 

Thanks for the great info. When I take my truck back to the dealer next week, I'm gonna make sure that they thoroughly inspect my VP44 while its still under warrenty. Thanks again.

 

how do you replace the electronics? didn't know you could do this.
