99-2000 Fuel Filter Housing Swap
Has anybody considered changing the 99 Fuel Filter Housing to the 2000 model housing with the removable top? I wonder if it would work. Anybody know or considered it?

Re:99-2000 Fuel Filter Housing Swap
I can't think of a reason why it would not work. You would probably have to change the fuel line from the lift pump to the new filter, also...its been a while since I've paid attention to that.
IMO, yes, the new filters are easier to change, but, its a lot more difficult to get dirt and crud out of the housing on the newer ones. With the older setup, you can just dump it, wipe it, or whatever. On the newer ones, its sometimes difficult to get fingers down in there to clean it up.
