new ip is in
new ip is in
Just thought I would drop a note to say thanks to all for the help. I replaced my still running IP on WED night (4 1/2 hr) and everything is running good. Pretty easy job with the GOOD instructions bkay posted. Thank you. I can now boost w/o my ez on but with the elbow edge supplied 27psi. Of course I get a couple boost overspeed codes. But I got tired of waiting at autozone for them to scan my truck so I went and bought an OBDII also, I even had the wife blessing! Thanks again!

Do you (or anyone else for that matter) have the link to the IP installation instructions? I have been searching on here for a little while now and can't find them.
Thanks
ps. While I'm at it, anyone near south Denver that would be willing to assist me in changing out my IP?? I'll supply the beer (and the IP
)

cginwyo,
I done a search under your name and bkay and came up with nothing about the IP replacment instructions. Would you mind posting them, I would like to mark them for future references. Thanks.

Here's the install I did on my friend's Y2K
VP44 Installation
Sorry I didn't get any pics of the crankcase breather cover removed to show how to separate the injection pump from the gear with the gear puller, but it is pretty straightforward. I used a hand-held mirror to look at the pump keyway and turned the motor over with a barring tool until the pump keyway was at 12 O'Clock to help eliminate the possibility of it falling down into the gear cover when removing the injection pump.
I bought the VP44 and the gear puller from Chip Fisher at Blue Chip Diesel
