NAPA Track Bar Different?

I finally had to repalce my trackbar, DODGE wanted $335.00 for theirs so I opted for the NAPA version at $180.00. This is where it got interesting for me.
Dropped old one out, new one would not line up, I assumed new, not wornout parts would not line up exactly, jacked up 1 side of truck till I could get Tie-Rod end in socket. When tightening(?sp) the nut stripped with very little pressure so I used old nut, tightend ok but way more threads showing on new end than on old end. Truck drives much better, but now the steering wheel is off center.
Called NAPA and had them order another bar to compare to the stock bar. The NAPA bar is 1/4 to 3/8" shorter in lenght, the tapper on the tie rod end is shorter, explaining why there is more threads on new one, the shape of the tapper appears the same.

Has anyone else had these problems with the NAPA track bar and WILL IT HURT THE FRONT END to run it like this?

Waiting on NAPA to call distributer/manufacturer of Track bar for info. No other part no.'s listed, is the 02 a little different?

Thanks
DuaneW.

I've installed several Napa bars and never had this problem, they gave you the wrong one.
Seems like too short will throw your alignment way off, watch your tires for fast wear if you must drive it.
