Where the %£% are these located on a 2001 ctd . I want to clean them but after looking on line Im still confused! anyone have pics of the engine and locations for them please........

Left side back of engine just behind fuel filter housing.

1 - sensor mounting holes
2 - o-ring
3 - iat sensor
4 - map sensor
5 - o-ring

 

ok so today i pulled out number 4 and there was nothing to clean the end was just like a brass colored opening?

 

measures pressure the other temperature, be careful what you use to clean it with no chemicals just shop air. I have never seen one go bad.

 

IAT wants electrical parts cleaner, it gets sooty.

MAP is a diaphragm that reads air pressure differential, it can go bad or wear out but usually doesn't until after a lot of miles.

pull the connector and use a deep socket on both, IIRC 1" 1/16 and 1" 1/8 are what you will need...
