Yes you can but I would wire in the coil of a relay, this will only add the coil current to their circuit ( app 0.145 amps) Bring a wire from theirs the relay and then take it to ground. Just feed the relay with a fused wire from the battery use #14 or 12 awg and take it to ground make sure that it is by the battery. This will then start when the factory pump starts other then the reduced power of ?? volts when the engine is turning over.

You can also get a simple relocation kit.

But I would avoid the Holley pumps as they have a checkered reliability record.

LP's seem to be a fun topic of debate on DTR. Do a search on here and you'll end up reading till you fall asleep and probably have a better idea of what you need. Ultimately find what will work best for your application and budget. Your on the correct path by upgrading over the factory LP... period. Some state that the pumps are not designed to pump diesel. To be honest everyone on here has probably used some item that was not designed from the factory for cummins or dodge. Personally, I run the Holley blue (w/regulator), w/a prefilter, stretched spring and have removed the brass strainer in it. No problems for 2+yrs. 19psi @ idle and 15@WOT. Don't forget to install a fuel psi gauge as this is equally as important.

The Holley pumps are just marginal quality. Some hold up, some don't that's all. I used to run one on my gasser, then going after 3 in 6 months, I switched.

So, it's not just diesel. They are hit and miss at best.
