low FP at starter bump???

Sorry did a few searches & didn't find much on it.

Anyway since I installed my guages at the 1-2 sec bump my FP would jump up to 11-12psi then back to 0. Very recently it seems the pump is running less time & the pressure is barely noticeable. Truck does still start fine then pressure rises up close to where it had been running at. Now at 10 at idle where it had been 11-12. Is this the first sign that my LP is failing? I have been planning on upgradeing fuel system but maybe I should be doing it ASAP?

Could be the LP. Sounds like it to me, but...

Or it could be a faulty gauge or hook-up, even air in the pressure line to the gauge. I didn't bleed the air from mine and didn't have any problems, but some people have.

I would buy a cheap 0-30# pressure test gauge and install it in the other test port on the top of your filter housing just to see if it matches the erratic action of your cab mounted gauge. You can pick one up for about $8 at a plumbing supply place or hardware store. Most have 1/4" threads, if so you will also need a 1/8" nipple and 1/4 X 1/8 reducer.
