I have this weird issue where my truck will lose throttle for a few seconds while driving, seems to be in different times but rpm ranges above 800 and below 2000rpms.


if i let off the pedal, and go back in it works after like 2 secs.

i was thinking throttle position sensor, has anybody else encountered this?

i have 2 codes but they both point to cam sensor which i have just replaced.

 

VP44 or APPS. Do you have a FP guage on this truck ?

 

yeap and the fuel pressure guage never goes below 5lbs.

and it was replaced at 66k miles.

 

vp44 that is, new at dodge 66k miles.

Classic vp computer problem.

Mine did it and if I could keep the speed above 60 it ran fine all day. Slow down and it was there.

 

My 02 did the same this. I replaced the APPS and the problem was fixed.
