My kids 01 6speed gets out run by my wifes 95 ford 5 speed when towing 6000lb horse trailers she has 185000miles power puck cold airintake streight 4 inch and good fuel pres. Could the maf senser be the prob. any ideas dont like wifes truck out running a CTD thanks for any ideas

 

got any gauges on the '01?
any mod's..4" turbo back systems might a good place to start.
what boost level are you running?
EGT?
power mods?
trying too out run in 6th?

maf? or MAP or IAT? I'm not sure the 01's had a MAF. I know the '06 Liberties have a MAF, MAF - MASS AIR FLOW.

No mass air flow sensor. What are the codes? As said what is the boost pressure?

 

Did you check the fuel pickup screen in fuel tank? Couldn't believe the difference when I changed mine. Was restricting fuel flow at WOT, normal driving around town worked fine.

 

do u know how to cycle the keys to see if the truck has pulled codes. when is the last time the fuel filter has been changed. fuel pressure reading wot would be good to know.

 

Boost leak??

 

all gauges egt fuel pres and boost she called me will find out boost and fuel pres. I think fuel filter is a good place to start/ it is the map sensor sorry thanks Lee
