Re: KDP in 24 valve Eng.

That is little compared to Injectors, injector nozzles, water pumps, GPR relays glowplugs, cam position sensors, the stupid seal around the T stat,(yeah the guy who invented that should be rich) [yuk] the famous CACKLE ( but is there one?????????), EBPV leaking on the driveway, PCM's giving out. and the list goes on, and on and on. Like the Highway men song. ;D Oh sorry those were my problems just letting off some steam sorry.<br>Chase

Forgive my ignorance but what damage can be done if the KDP comes out? I've never really paid attention to it as I thought it was strictly a 12v problem ::)

I'm guessing the same thing that can happen on a 12 valve. Bust up your engine.

Re: KDP in 24 valve Eng.

I have looked to see if I have a KDP. I haven't found it. I am looking on the back of the gear case around the PS pump under the Injection pump. Is that the correct place?

Re: KDP in 24 valve Eng.

To see it you need to remove the gear housing front cover...thats why its such a nasty thing because theres no way to tell if its moved unless you open up the gear housing...then if your in there to look you should just go ahead and do the tab fix... :-[
