How Much Was Your Alignment And Who Did It?
How much was your alignment on your truck?
Who did it?
Would you recommend them?
I called about 10 places just now and they all want 90 bucks for a 4 wheel alignment, does anyone just do the front?

I got mine for free....
The shop let my truck roll off the hoist and smashed the front grill guard. Even though it was COMPLETELY FREE - I wouldnt recommend going this route. But, I can PM you the shop details in case your still interested.

$90 at the dealer, was the cheapest in town, most wanted over $100. One shop wouldn't do the alignment unless it had the trac bar replaced very recently.

I can't remember how much i've paid in the past (and not for this truck either) but that doesn't seem totally outrageous or anything.
Little place south of me, holt auto alignment (not that it's of much use to most people on here) does EXELLENT work. It's the only shop within 100 miles of lansing that i've not felt taken advantage of, and they always have awesome customer service. The ower of the shops house is in front of their garage and he keeps an eye on it. One time I was studying out front and his wife brought me some homemade lemonade, can't beat a place like that!

Got mine (2 wheel) done at National Tire and Battery. They talked me into a 5 year plan (get it done as often as needed over 5 years) for their three year plan price. Was about $150. Take it back at least every 6 months.

First off you can not do a 4 wheel alignment on a Dodge Ram. You can only do a Thrust angle alignment. There is no adjustment when the rear is bolted to leaf springs in the back. Anyway my shop charges $56 plus shims and sense you have an 01 there is no shims in the upper ball joints so, only thing your getting done is toe in set and wheel centered. My $.02.

Truck is @ brake check now. Their special now: $69 for tire balance, rotate and alignment. $100 for lifetime alignment. Waiting to hear what they have to say about da truck.

Free.... I did it myself at work. The $59 is the lure to get you in the door. 9 times out of 10 you can usually find a Dodge with a front end that needs some parts replaced and that's where the money is at. Doing a camber adjustment on a 4x4 front can get a bit pricey as that is where the offset ball joints come into play(more $$$ of course).....and with a come along and some ingenuity you can adjust the rear on a dodge truck. We've done some to rid of "dog tracking" over the years.

Right, but that is still a 4 wheel alignment to check the thrust.
If you only do a 2 wheel alignment, it won't align the front axle to the rear axle.. (thrust). Not that you can change without an adjustable track bar though.
