How much for labor to replace the radiator and

the water pump and the fan and the clutch?

My fan had a blade break and fly into the radiator. I was about 4 hours from home in a town that I only know one couple. The guy is a farmer, and part time mechanic. He had it towed to his farm and is going to fix it for me. I have the feeling that when I go to pick it up, the bill will probably be only for the out of pocket expenses he incoured. I dont feel this to be right and want to be fair to him. What could one expect to pay for a job like this in a private shop? I will get him to take something. I want it to be fair, especially to him. Thanks

In had the same thing happen to me....but was VERY lucky (1 mile from a dealer & still cover by waranty).
If I remember correctly, it took a Dodge Mechanic, who had done this job before, 2 hrs....so you might figure 3-4 hrs plus parts.
Pick your own labor rate.

Sorry you had this happen when & where it did. Glad you had help.
It is not an unheard of problem on CTD's. Usually occurs on shut down and latter fan blades have been redesigned with reinforcing ribs.
