HELP what did I do.

Sunday a buddy of mine got stuck and I tried to pull him out. well I also got stuck and got on it pretty good going from 1st gear to rev and back several times trying to get out. Well another buddy came and got me unstuck then we tried to get my other buddy out together. Everytime I let out of my clutch my truck would die. Then smoke came from under the hood and smelled like something burning. I let it sit for awhile and drove away. Everything seems fine right now (I have driven about 200miles) Did I just smoke my clutch and it needed to cool down?

I dont have a sig yet so my truck is a 00 5sp with TST comp, fass, guages and BHAF

Sounds like the clutch.

Be careful, glazing will cause further issues.

Just be careful and watch it for a while. If you got the clutch hot enough that it glazed and sounds like it glued itself to the flywheel, there is a good chance that you have heat and or stress cracks in the clutch contact pads.

If it was smoke from your clutch you can tell by the smell. It will burn your nose and smell like hot brakes only much stronger. Sounds to me like clutch.

Why would the truck die if the clutch was going out? Shouldn't it atleast start moving instead of dying? I know back when my truck was stock and my foot slipped off the clutch in second, it would jump forward and keep going, never stalled it in a low gear.
