Help ID this Fuel Leak PLease.....

Hello! I noticed a Diesel Fuel leak under my 2002 this evening. It left about a quarter sized Diesel fuel spot under the truck. It;s coming from the Drivers side just to the left of the oil pan.. Is this where the VP 44 is located? Thanks!!!

It looks like mine did when the lift pump developed some sort of internal leak. Lift pump made good pressure, no leaks at any ftngs or lines. Mine was leaking off the bottom of the pump, from the elect connection. New lift pump time!

You will have to determine WHERE the leak is coming from first. So look upline of the drip, find the source. Could be the lift pump?? If so, you might want to now consider the aftermarkets products - Air Dog maybe?? Kill several birds with one stone. Isn't this the truck you had the dead pedal stuff with a month or so ago? That could have been your warning sign for what you have now.

That is correct, same truck had the dead pedal on in Early Dec. Not sure what or how difficult the pump is to change out so I am taking it in to the Diesel only shop I bought the truck from . They also install after market etc.. I'll ask them! Thanks CD

If you're just replacing it with the stock lift pump (don't do it!), its 3 bolts to the bracket, 2 banjo bolts, and an electrical connection.
