What "lift pump" did you install? If your replaced one OEM lift pump for the same OEM Carter lift pump then your fuel pressure is never going to be enough for the fueling you're asking from the VP. Even if the OEM lift pump is brand new it still cant supply that kinda fuel. You clearly need a higher volume fuel pump like a FASS or Fuel Boss or whatever you choose.....just something able to deliver a decent volume of fuel under a constant pressure of 15-20 psi at all times. Do you have gauges and do you know what your fuel pressures are? If your fuel pressure is dropping like a rock and running at little to nothing while driving then your VP has not been happy and is close to failure. The codes you have are indications of that too. Just to be assured, you can try disconnecting the Juice and see if it runs any different.

Thats good to hear. But turn down that fuel pressure. No need to ever be above 20 psi unless you need a couple more psi to make sure WOT pressures dont drop below 15. What gauges do you have?

Again though, unplug your Juice and see what it does. Write down the codes and then try clearing the codes too and seeing if they reappear with the Juice unhooked.

Only Guage I have is the one on the edge ( I know computers can lie) and it the air dog was already set for that just haven't tinkered with it. Also the vp is a reman was installed before I got it was a repossession truck so I don't know any info on it. Since most reman parts have lifetime warranty. Just frustrating dropping $1400 and now its getting all screwy.

These are what the codes mean:

P1693 DTC Detected in Companion Module A fault has been generated in the companion engine control module. DTC Detected in PCM/ECM or DTC
Detected in ECM. A 9Companion DTC9 was set in both the ECM and PCM.

P0216 Fuel Injection Pump Timing Failure High fuel supply restriction, low fuel pressure or possible wrong or incorrectly installed pump keyway.

P0236 Map Sensor Too High Too Long Problem detected in turbocharger wastegate.

The 1693 is merely telling you there's a code in there you may not be seeing. The 0216 is not a good code because it refers to internal timing and thats generally a failure code. But the 0236 is a MAP sensor code which is telling you that there's something up with the Juice and that the ECM is recognizing too high of boost. The Juice should be keeping the ECM from recognizing boost above stock so again, I'd disconnect the box, clear the codes, and see if the truck runs better.

Also, because the ISB engine is very sensitive to electronic differences in volatage/amperage, make sure your batteries are in perfect condition and that all the major cable connections are clean and tight, and all major grounds are clean and tight. You'd be surprised how many times someone had an issue and it turned out to be a broken cable or bad battery or alternator output.

The best way is with a code reader. Check with your local parts store and see if they can scan the same codes and then clear them, or buy your own scanner.
