Fuel Gauge Reading Empty
Ever since the tank was removed the first time, I have had a problem with my fuel gauge, so I decided to replace the sending unit. I ordered one from Ebay and installed it ... my original problem was that the gauge always read full, now it always reads empty.
Question ... when the guys disconnected things, installed the new sending unit and reconnected everything, they did NOT disconnect the batteries. Could this have fried the unit? Thanks ... and so not looking forward to dropping the tank again, but I have a gooseneck hitch that I believe is bolted through the bed and into the frame, so raising the bed sounds like more of a pain. Thanks! Robin |

One more question. The sending unit came with a plastic clip, there wasn't one when I pulled the old one. Where would that have gone and could that have been a problem if I didn't install it? It's white, a little over an inch long.

Sounds like wiring placed in wrong pin holes. Maybe can reach up around frame and make sure is connected well.
