fuel filter housing leaking on 1999

I had a 92, and I remember it having a water sensor, but not a heater.

When my 99 started to leak there (fuel heater wires), I knocked the heater out of it, and run a 1/2 inch pipe tap into the hole. I then put a brass pipe plug into the hole. No more leak. I don't think the new o ring idea would have worked for me as the heater itself was leaking and after looking at it, it looked like it had burned or crystalized the plastic of the heater assembly. I know the thing was very brittle.

I don't drive the dually much in cold weather but I have not missed the heater and those who told me of the fix have never missed the heater either.

I am not sure of the ability of the heater even under the right conditions.

that number 7 o ring is perfect it looks too small but trust me it works, takes a little force not much putting it in.
