Fass Pump Quick Connect Problem

The Disconnect/connect Over My Diesel Tank Was Not A Good Connect. It Was Letting Air In Causing The Pump To Make A Loud Whining Surge Sound. For Two Weeks It Did That And The Engine Died Yesterday . The Pump Sent And Air Bubble To The Ip . Has Anyone Else Had These Problems ?

Hmm... I noticed that when I connected mine it wasn't a real solid-feeling connection, seemed like there was some play back and forth in the fitting. However, my FASS pump is pretty quiet... I don't hear it unless I have the door open when I turn the key to on and bump the starter...

I've heard of others not using the fitting but claping hose directly to the tank inlet. I didnt have any problems with mine.

Most work just fine. BUT if you have some debris or don’t get it snapped up all the way, you might see an issue. Like stated, you can connect the line directly to the tank feed with a clamp....we just added that QD-1001 for convenience. Its supported by o-rings so there will be some slight play in the fittings....its normal.

I Clamped It . Works Much Better .

Broke mine too, so I double clamped it. (not the Clampits[laugh] ) Much more solid I thought, not that I had a choice.

My QD wouldn't work either, so I clamped the connection, not a hitch since.....
