Experience w/ Southbend Organic Heavy Duty
Looking for anyone with experience with the Southbend single disc organic clutches. Talked with them this morning and was referred to the 13125-OK-HD (3" organic facing, rated up to 425 hp). I was told smooth engagement in forward and reverse (like stock). Thoughts/opinions/experience? Thanks.

One other thing before I replace the clutch. Should have brought it up earlier. Reason for researching clutches is I think mine is on the way out.
Engagement used to start at halfway through the pedal travel - now the clutch engages right at the very top/end of the pedal travel. No slipping/smell/etc. - still holds just engagement at the very top.
Sound like a clutch disc that is on it's last legs? Thanks.

I've had one in there for 2000 miles or so. Holds power real well with silent operation. Reverse, however, has always been a bit grabby. Clutch was installed by an ASE ex-Dodge tech who operates a garage now with his dad,so I'm confident the install was sanitary.
An article in the TDR reported that it was very smooth in reverse and forward,so maybe it's just mine.
