electric fans
does anyone use flex-a-lite twin electric fans . they are featured in junes deisel power mag.
I too saw that feature. I am wondering the same thing, I live where its 105+ for the whole summer and it would be nice to have all of that air going through the condensor all of the time while driving around town!

I have thier fan kit on my ford. It's not enough when towing heavy.
If you read the fine print they say not to tow heavy with them.So in extreme heat i figure they wouldent work as well as the stock fan
when you mean tow heavy how much weight are you talking about.
8000-11000lbs in the summer

Ya, I read that article too. Great idea but not if you tow or have too much HP/TORQUE. Otherwise they said they ran it up the hill time after time trying to get it to overheat and it never did. I think they said it increased hp by 20 something so it may be worth it in the right application. I don't think I caught the price though.....
Of course they couldn't get it to overheat. It was a stock 12v. 180hp. The maz air flow of that fan was 5500cfm. That's only half of what the factory fan flows. No way it could keep the truck cool sitting in traffic on a 100* day with the AC cranked up.
