EGT gauges

Me again!😉😂😂 Going to buy ISSPRO gauges, they have a pre & post EGT gauge. I am leaning pre, didnt know you actually had a choice here. Anyone know if it makes a difference one way or the other?
Thanks!

I don't see any real advantages to knowing post-turbo EGT's other than the probe installation being much easier...Pre-turbo temps are the critical ones to know to prevent engine damage...The post-turbo gauge probably just has a lower scale on its face...[eyecrazy]...Ben

Always pre-turbo. The reason is that with a post gauge you will not see a boost leak that increases your EGT to a point of damage in time.

Pre turbo...and make sure you follow good directions on how and where to drill in the exhaust manifold.

Thanks Katoom!
