ECM trouble

hay guys.well I just bought my dodge 3500 24v duelly.I'm haveing an ECM problem.it got ran on a scanner at my buddys shop.its a 2002 with 69,000.its a very nice clean truck.I still have the engin coverage.california state law says all diesels built from 98 and up have to have a 10yr 100,000 mile coverage couse of all the emissions junk I don't have to smog this year truck YET.

I'am wondering is this a common problem or is it few and far between?I allready have the extra pump and the FP gauge ready to go in.so I have the lift pump problem solved.

What else should I look at or adress for the givin milage on my truck?
my addons will include a high flow airintake,5in exaust,ats 3 peace exaust manifold,the biggest down pipe I can find.I may fab my own it looks fairly simple and either the banks high ram or the ats version.just starting small it cost a little more than I wonted to spend. just to let you all know I am an ATS junky.

IMO you don't need a high ram till you get WAY up in the HP range (if then). And ECM problems are rare, but not unheard of, I've had to replace mine, and so has some other members.

I've read and reread the post and don't see what problem you are having with the ECM?

the ECM was a guess from the local shop.the test from the dealer shop says its the LP and IP.it still runs but both units are very close to gone.they opened up the IP and about half the seals were damaged.he said this IP shouldn't even be working at all.they are checking the injectors and lines for any debree incase some particulate matter has passed through the IP.they think that the truck stalled couse a peace of the seals cloged up the Ip out let and starved the engin for fuel.they said I should have it back by thursday afternoon.
