ECM and PCM

ECM and PCM
The ECM and the PCM are not communicating. The truck has went into limp mode, it has a bully dog on it that I just disconnected . I’m thinking add a few ground wires and see if this solves the problem. The truck had been sitting a few years, it was in limp mode. It was throwing a code for lift pump, I installed a new air dog on it, and it wouldn’t come out of limp mode. Sidenote, I drained and replaced fuel.Comments welcome

Better late than never-
The air dog will cause a code for the lift pump- because the ECM "feels" a relays instead of an electric motor.
This has nothing to do with the problem of no communication- try the simple things first- check the wiring for corrosion and broken wires.
(A lot of the problems with these trucks can be solved by accepting that 20+ year old wires are not new..)
Maybe you can find a Cummins dealer or a Dodge dealer who still has the equipment to test either your PCM(Dodge) or your ECM(Cummins) for you.
