Dumb MAP censor question

If I understand this right, the MAP censor is basically what controls the amount of fuel put into the engine by sensing the manifold pressure...if I were to find a way to make the censor sense that there is less manifold pressure than there really is, then more fuel would be put into the engine and the engine would have more power? Is that correct?

The MAP sensor reads the pressure in the intake manifold and uses that value to determine how much fuel to add. The higher the pressure, the more fuel it supplies...since higher pressure should equal more air available to burn the extra fuel.

If you fool the MAP into thinking you have less pressure, you'll get less fuel. The only time it's worthwhile to fool the computer into thinking you have less boost is when you've blocked/modded your wastegate controller to allow more boost than the preset limit of 20-22 psi.

Ohh so the more pressure there is, the more fuel thats supplied...thats what I wasnt sure about!
Thanks!

Edit: Ya know...now that I actually turn my brain on...I don't know why I had to ask this question...

I'm not sure I understand that because it takes fuel to get more boost and if it take more boost to get fuel? I kind of figured the MAP only tells the computer when to stop fueling. I know the MAP has to be connected to keep the check engine light off but what if you pull the MAP sensor out of its hole and just plugged the hole and left the map pluged to the sensor out of its hole? As I've posted before the map on a 01 and 02 I've checked were both showing 14psi at idle, and only went to about 22psi.
