DTC codes P0234 and P1693

Anyone know what these codes are and any need to panic? They popped up after a few months of using a Hypertech programmer on stage 3, could be totally unrelated though...

P0234 - Overboost condition. Waste gate not opening stuck closed. It will defuel the engine. Lack of power.
P1693 - Telling there is errors in ECU and/or PCU.

So should I go to the dealer & get it fixed, is it under the 100,000 mile Cummins warranty?

I would remove all programming youdone back to stock and then take the truck to the dealer and show them the code by using the key trick. They will most likely replace the turbo charger.

Or...

You can clear the codes and see if the come back if they do I would go to the dealer...

If the codes reappear, do ya really think the dealer would replace the turbo? It's covered under the 100K waranty? Think they'll fight it?

Ok... this is easy... When you turbo gets up to about 20 - 21 PSI the wastegate is suppose to open up and limit the boost to 20 PSI. Well the wastegate is sticking closed and the boost is exceeding the limit set by the ECU (engine control unit) so it start to de-fuel the VP44 and limit the amount of power till if falls well below 20 PSI again. Kinds feels like it fell on its face...

As for the dealer fighting it... Well if he starts sniffing around and finds tell tales for BOMBS like the software modification, chip box etc... The might drop you like a hot rock. But if you return you programming to stock they might not say anything and replace the turbo under warranty. Being the warranty is still active.

Just point out that there is a error code P0234 using the key on/off trick. They cannot fight that... But if you use you programming box to show that well... Don't expect them to be to helpful...

So I have a question related to the wastegate not working and giving an 'Overboost' condition. Can you not just replace the WG valve? Seems simple enough to me.....besides I just found mine is leaking!
