Down 4 the count in MT

Well about 50 miles into our trip home this a.m. my vp 44 gave up the ghost. Approx 80K and a brand new nv5600 two weeks ago!

I'm throwing the codes P1693, 1690, 1689, 0230, 0562 and 1698, in that order. Does this look familiar to anyone?

Thanks, Kurt

Sounds like bad electronics. P0562=System Voltage Low. Charging system ok?

I'll find out in the am. I had to get it towed to the dealer in Kalispell. I checked the batteries Saturday and they were showing green. My lift pump still buzzes at "on" but I got a strange miss in the idle at startup this am. Its never done that before so I thought I may have gotten a bad tank at fill up Friday night. I ran some b20 about two months back and changed the fuel filter on the side of the road after it shut down. The old one didn't look that bad. It'll start up and run for about three minutes and then just stalls out. I didn't throw the 0216 or whatever the death code is and I had 10 psi of fuel pressure a week ago so I hope its just an alternator or something simple like you suggest.

Thanks for the reply, Kurt

I would check the batteries and grounds first, a short in a battery cell can cause some strange problems.

OBDII found a bad ECM. This will be replaced and then the lp and vp are gonna get checked out. Mechaninc said its rare for this to happen, fortunately my extended warranty covers it,$1400 and labor....for now.

Just a little rant. What is so hard about calling a guy once a day to update him on the situation of his truck! All I asked was for a daily update so I can accomodate my situation while stranded here in MT. If I owned a dealership or any business where I had public interaction off the street I would put my best people on the line. I can't beleive the disinterest in my problem here. Nobody seems to know anything and I am handcuffed as to my situation re: this repair. I need to get home and get back to work! AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!

Calming down now, Kurt

What's the dealer name? You can give them a blemish on the review card.
