Do I need a valve adjustment?
 

While I was installing some RV275 injectors yesterday, I noticed some of the angled metal things (not sure what they are called) that sit on top of the valve springs were loose and some were tight. Is this normal?

Some lose and some tight is normal but if you have hit the 100,000 mark it's always a good thing to do. If they are really out you will hear them under acceleration sounding like a bunch of very quick tappings. Also a good thing to check if lack of power and fuel economy are an issue.

Some tight and some loose are normal. Just depends on how the camshaft is positioned at shutdown. Adjustment is easy, just as easy as replacing injectors. 100,000 miles is a good time to do the valves. I did mine at 80,000.
