Do I have a reman. VP?

Do I have a reman. VP44? I bought my truck used. The other day I noticed that father-in-laws 2002 VP44 has a yellow "void" sticker on his. Mine does not have this.

This leads me to believe that my truck may be on its second pump. Can I find out by having the dealer run the vin#?

The "Void" sticker was added in the 2001.5 trucks after Dodge figured out that one of the popular boxes plugged directly into the injection pump harness.

Forgot the otherpart of your question.

If the work was performed by a Dodge Dealer then yes it should be listed when they run a vehicle history using the VIN.

Mine had the void stickers, 2 or 3 of them when I got it new.

When my VP44 was replaced, they neglected to put the stickers back.
Under warranty of course, at 4,000 miles.

I hope I don't run into any flak due to them being missing.

At the time mine was replaced, Bosch was just stopping production on new units, so I'm not sure if I got a new one or a remanufactured.
Almost hoping for the latter, as I believe it will be a better pump.

My reman is from Cummins and is not painted, looks just like the original.

Some of the pumps will have the timing key number changed. The stamp on the side of the pump is re-stamped to a new code. You can see the old cal-number and see the new one stamped next to it. That is also a give away. like it had 043 timing key and a new on of 034 for example. Just some added help I hope.
