diesel in oil
 

I have been getting diesel fuel in my oil on my 01. The truck starts alot harder to have to spin it over longer before it fires. I got new injector but in it in about a mouth ago. Could there be a injector issue or the fuel tubes to the injectors. Is there any other way to get fuel in the oil. Thanks for your time. Garry

1. Fuel (connector) tubes leak external at line fitting or add to fuel being returned to tank.
2. Injectors or tips could be damaged and cause problem. Generally notice plenty white smoke, engine missing or rough running.
3. Piston(s) could be damaged with broken ring(s) or damage. Generally notice some blowby (maybe major) or engine rough running or missing. Even a noticable knock may be present at idle and loaded.

The injector assembly has o-rings that seal the return fuel from the injector (auto bleed fuel) back to the fuel tank. If the injector hold downs are loose, this will allow cylinder pressure to escape past the injector, causing a dead hole, and the pressure will push the injector back, push fuel past the injector, and if the injector or seals sit wrong, the return fuel will leak into the oil through the top of the injector.

I'm gonna say you've got a problem with that injector. Probably just loose. Maybe poorly sealed washer (copper injector seal) or something along those lines.

Pretty easy to deal with.

could be, if they are tight (injector hold downs) that you damaged an oring, (the large one on the injector its self) when you slid the injector in, did you apply oil/lub to the injector o-ring prior to installing? or the injector lines at the head are too loose so that there is hi pressure fuel leaking around the crossover tube and pressurizing the return side and leaking past the o-rings, but this should show up as excessive pressure in your fuel tank
