Danger Boost and Danger EGT?
Normal highway driving conditions; no load, 65-70mph.
1. What's a good "rule of thumb" to keep the Boost and EGT numbers under? 2. What's aprox nrs are getting close to "danger" levels, so I should aware of if approaching? I have a Quadzilla Commander; not thrilled with it, but...that's what I have. Basic stock except for the BHAF and Raptor. |
usually depending on your truck i would say 650-750* empty maybe it all depends. max egt where i start backing off at is 1250*-1300* and my probe is pre turbo but i cant remember what is danger post turbo. my boost stops at 20psi boost no matter what. hope this helps...

Not sure why my BOOST would register so high (+20)...that's without a load...:( |
I think the stock turbo shouldn't register more than 20-23psi or your wastgate might be AFU. I've got the Commander too and all I can say is that it works. Not the best, though.... I see 700-800 degrees at 70mph. I set the Commander to warn at 1250 and start to defuel at 1400, I think.

Stock turbo i would say anything over 30psi and your starting to get in the danger zone! EGTS When pulling a trailer i would say 1300 is the max that i would want to run, but its not hard on are trucks to run 1600 degrees as long as its only for a couple seconds! I peg out a 1600 pyro when pulling!
