Daily driver down
Help my daily driver is down and I'm without a backup. I have a 2001 Dodge ram 3500 dually 6speed 2wd and the injector pump is out. I am getting no fuel to the injectors I have fuel with good pressure on the inlet side. And it being holiday time funds are very low. I found a used pump locally out of a wreck with low miles but it's a automatic truck and what ivI' read In other places is that a standard SO 027 pump will not work on the 6 speed high out put HO 028 motor. Is this true? I hope to hear from someone who has done it.

I have also heard that the SO pumps do not work with the HO motors, which is totally believable. They are listed as two different parts #s. Why would they make, list and stock two different pumps, if one would work on both motors.
I would not risk it, you would be likely wasting money or even worse making new problems.

The AT pump has a totally different internal governor than the MT (or MT/HO) pump. This part will not fit! If it runs you will have massive driveability issues.
