Cruise Control whacked out
Cruise Control whacked out
The other day we were facing 60 mph rainy winds and the truck was shifting in between overdrive and 4th gear....like it was slipping. I did the reset apps and it seemed to calm it down.
Then, on the way home, the cruise control went out or never came on (light in the speedo) I tried a reset apps again and checked the vacuum lines and everything else seems in order. I have searched the forum for crusie control and nothing seems to be matching up. There is no fuse for the cruise control and would you have any suggestions to start to troubleshoot?
Thanks in advance
Pat

if the light never comes on in the odometer then it isn't the clockspring or the brakelight switch. From what I have gathered (and have not proved on my own truck as I am having the same issue) is there is more then likely a crimped or broken wire in the steering column. Take the knee knocker panel off and examine the wires to see if that is your issue. That is the only information I have been able to come up with when the light does not come on in the odometer.
