Converting from 5 speed to 6 speed, couple questions?
My brother blew 4th gear out of his NV5600 & got a rebuilt unit installed. The shop who rebuilt it can rebuild his old NV5600 & they are gonna work me a deal. I'll be converting from NV4500 to the NV5600. I am in the middle of doing body work/paint on my truck & don't have time to search the forums. Can you guys give me some answers to these questions?
1. Will my 241DLD transfer case bolt up to the NV5600?
2. Will I need to buy a NV5600 tranny mount or just modify my NV4500 mount to bolt in the NV5600?
3. What needs to be done as far as making the speedo work?
4. What is involved in the driveshafts?
