Cold Weather Fronts

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the forum but have been a CTD owner since this last summer. I have always driven GM products and finally jumped the fence mostly because of the price. I must say I have not been sorry about the purchase. My 02 3500 is a pulling machine!! ;D Anyway living in Wyoming, weather puts some serious demands on diesels in general. I am making an appointment for the cold weather reflash options that I have read about. Also could anyone reccomend a cold weather front for the truck? My dealer tells me my stainless Lund bug sheild has to be removed for the cold weather front...does this sound kosher??? Any advice would be helpful about options. Thanks in advance. Ken

Check the classifieds.
There is a member here by the name of EricBu that makes some pretty nice ones.
They just fit into the holes in the grill, so they don't interfere with bug shields, and you can remove one or more as the weather improves.

I'm going to get ahold of him soon to get some, right after I have the Dealer do the reflash or enable the Cold Weather Idle.

phox

Re:Cold Weather Fronts

I have a set of Eric's winter fronts, they work good. Right now I'm only running with the two top ones on, but when it gets really cold I will put the bottom two on as well.
