code P0341, tach dead, heated seats dead.

My check engine light comes on for a few days then goes off, and comes on again after a while. When the light is on sometimes the tachometer wont work and neither will the heated seats. If I shut the truck off when this happens and then restart it, the tach and seat heat works for about 3 or 4 seconds and then both go dead again. The only code being thrown is P0341, camshaft position sensor. The truck seems to run fine. Anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this?

Very interesting, I do have a Ham radio installed in the truck, however it does not operate on rthe frequencies mentioned in the TSB. I dont think this is the problem but will pull fuse 13 anyway to check as it cost nothing.

Thanks Steve.

This was not the problem. Can anyone tell me if the camshaft position sensor would cause the problem with the tach and heated seats? HELP!

Are there any Dodge mechanics out there who can help with this? If not I guess I will replace the camshaft position sensor, and hope that solves the problem.

O.K. I guess no one out there can answer my question. After reading up a bit and checking the wiring around the AC compressor I think my camshaft position sensor is going out. Cummins West has them for $38.00. My only question is why would this cause my heated seats not to work?????
