Check Engine Light
Check Engine Light
Comes on at higher elevations (above 5000 feet) after a day or 2 at 2500 feet light goes back off. Only comes on when pulling trailer, empty-no light at high or low elevation. When I stay at higher elevation for a few days light will go off as long as I am not pulling trailer. Any body know what to look for or do I take off comp box and airfilter and take to dealer, pain in rear to remove and then re-install. Last time at the dealer they gave the filter a long look but did not say anything. New MAPP sensor about 2000 miles ago.
Re:Check Engine Light
The best thing to do IMHO is to have the codes checked by somebody with a scanner (like pep boys etc- not the dealer for the service history) and see what it says. Maybe you can read the codes by turning the ignition key to on and off for three times- then you should see the codes on the odometer or by flashes of the check engine light. I think a list of the codes is somewhere in the FAQ
