Can Bus?

Can Bus?

The Can Bus just hangs there with a plug attached with no wires. What is this for? What happens if the plug is gone?

Just curious I guess.

I think you're looking at the diagnostic port of the CANbus. That's where the Edge EZ and other boxes plug in. I've never run mine without either the stock plug or the EZ plugged into it , but the stock plug shouldn't be internally jumpered - it just protects the terminals in the diagnostic port.

If you'd short this plug out it would be a quite good way to kill some rather expensive parts (potentially) and would also disable your truck.
