Broke down What Happened?

2001 with 295,000. While pulling a small grade with my gooseneck trailer all of a sudden I heard a loud pop then I started to loose power as I made it to the side of the road. Now engine is hard to start and rough idling. What most likely happened? Thanks.

Checked the fuel canister. Full of fuel. Pulled engine codes: 1693 fault in bus pcm ecm interface. 1688 fuel injection pump failure. 0254 injection pump fuel valve too high. So maybe I lost my injection pump. Still don't understand the loud pop sound prior to failure? Any thoughts?

Cheapest is usually not the long term solution...... We all love to save money, but the VP usually isn't one of those places.

Depends who is selling it, lots of reputable supply houses offer stuff on ebay, like Thouroghbred, Dynomite and others. What you really want is one from a gennie Bosch guy with a bench and upgraded proven electrics......
