brand new goerend trans not shifting

i just had a georend trans installed and with my first wot run it took about 1.5 seconds to shift from 1st to 2nd and sometimes into third. and when the converter locks under light throttle i can feel it hobble maybe 2 or three times. either then that it made a huge difference in power. how can i fix the shifts?

Make sure its filled to the proper level. You will probably have to adjust the TV cable to get the shifting up to par. Thanks Steve B.

The TV is the same as the kickdown cable. I believe the adjustment is made on the engine at the throttle linkage. From what Dave told me before it should be adjusted such that at full throttle there is just barely a little wiggle room when you try to rotate the TV linkage (on the transmission) by hand. Basically just make sure you're getting full rotation of the linkage without stressing the cable, otherwise you break the cable eventually and then take out some clutches in your trans (personal experience!). If you're TV is close, I STRONGLY suggest you contact the source directly and Dave will help get to the bottom of it.

Double check the fluid level first.
On mine, I had to add an extra quart after a few minutes of driving (Have to "burp" all the air out of the circuits) then a 1/2 quart past the full mark.
Been all good for the past 4 years.

And if you have a problem with Dave's stuff.....call him first....He'll bend over backwards to make sure you're happy.
