Transmission fluid usage

Unless I was dreaming it, i checked my tranny fluid about two months ago. The tranny did a few weird things today and I checked my fluid and i was exactly two quarts low. I do not have a leak. There is some wetness around the dust cover under the converter, and a class II leak (drops beginning to form) but no dripping yet. I am talking a solid two quarts low. Any idea where it went?? All is good on the shifting and performance of the tranny......

Could be leaking under pressure.

Once you stop, pressure goes down so you only see wetness and residual drops.

I know that's what mine is doing.

Mines leaking out of the tranny temp port, never see drops on the driveway, but there is always a drop hanging there about to fall when I look at it.

I assume you checked the level with the engine running in N or D.
