Best VP

Is any certain VP better than the other when it comes to durability? I see SO pumps, HO pumps Hot rod pumps, Monster pumps. Is one built better than the other?

Also, is there any way on the second gen trucks to get rid of the VP headache forever?? I've heard of a "P-Pump" What is that? Also, will the CP3 on late models work on a VP truck?

I would go with a so vp44. I have heard that the hot rod vp's have a rough idle and the high output pumps can't put out as much horsepower then a standard output vp. And I dont know anything about the monster vp.

A cp3 wont work becouse it just supplies high pressure fuel to a rail that goes to all the injectors which are computer controlled.

A vp44 sends the fuel to each injector with seperate lines and the injectors open from the pressure of the fuel.

A p pump is a mechinical pump that is used on the twelve valves, they are good for big hp and reliable, You can make them work on a 24 valve. Im not sure how to though.

Some one else will no more then me and can correct me if Im wrong on anything.

Yes, a P-pump can be used on a 24v motor, but you need a conversion kit as the cam in the 24v does not have the extra lobe to run the pump. I think there is something else, but im just not sure.
