Thumbs up

I run Hawkhead not to be confused with Hawk brand. Very minimal if any dust, they are carbomet. There is a company out of Olympia ,WA you can buy thru if you dont have a lcoal distributor called rapid brake. My cost about $60 for set on front through my local distributor. Check out there website at hawkhead.com, do a google search on hawkhead has a pretty good comparison with other brand of pads being run on police cars.

Upgrade your fleet or tow vehicle's braking performance with Hawk Performance's SuperDuty, Severe-Duty compound!

Hawk's SuperDuty Ferro-Carbon material is engineered for severe-duty professional truck fleets/trucks and SUVs towing heavy loads. This material offers unmatched performance under high inertia and/or repetitive braking applications.

To drive safely with heavy payloads it is critical to have brakes that operate properly. Commercial fleet trucks and light trucks/SUVs carrying or towing heavy payloads experience high braking temperatures. Higher temperatures contribute to premature brake pad and rotor wear and directly effect brake pad fade or loss of friction. Hawk Performance's SuperDuty product is a severe-duty pad that has an extremely high coefficient of friction designed to provide maximum stopping power with excellent high temperature heat dissipation.

Key Features and Benefits of Hawk Performance SuperDuty Brake Pads:

Stable friction output
Extremely fade resistant
Extended pad life
Increased rotor life
Much improved braking over OE pads
Brake pads are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.

NOTE:

Even though Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

NOTE: BRAKES ARE A SAFETY CRITICAL PART OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.

Brake components should be installed by a competent mechanic in a professional manner. Any incorrect installation of brake components can cause a major safety problem or an accident. If you are not a competent and qualified mechanic you should not attempt to install these products, but should take the vehicle to a vehicle dealer or competent automotive mechanic for their installation.

Disc brake pads and rotors are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Read More.
