Batteries?

Truck starts just fine in warm weather but as soon as it hit 30 it starts getting harder to start, once it hits 20 and I dont plug it in it cranks but wont fire right away, on about the third try the batteries start getting weak. It usually fires just intime before they die. Would new batteries help this problem? I plug it in where I can but when im at my girls house thats not an option ( theives would steal my cord) so I gotta do something. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks, Matt

check the grid heaters, if they aren't working hard starts are common when the temps drop

Thanks guys thats what I wanted to hear, What kind of optimas should I get? red top or yellow top? Thanks johnh I will look into the grid heater when I get back from hunting this weekend, that sounds like a very possible cause too. Thanks again guys. Have a happy Thanksgiving

I just bought a new set of batteries from autozone gold for 89.00 a piece.Three year warranty with free replacement and up to eight year prorated. They work great. Mine were getting weak they were factory batteries.[coffee]

Ditto on the Duralast Gold. Can't beat the 3 year replacement and 8 year prorate....
