Banjo bolt washers
Today I set about installing a FASS DDRP lift pump on my '99 2500. Idiot that I am, I managed to lose one of the banjo bolt washers when removing the current pump! I've looked everywhere! It may be hung up in the engine somewhere, and I tried to use a telescoping magnet to find it, but couldn't.
I looked online and found that they are sometimes called "crush washers." I need to get one ASAP since I need to haul my horse to a trainer on Tuesday. Is this something I can get at NAPA or Autozone? I tried to do a search on their websites but came up with zilch, even though they have banjo bolts of various sorts. Maybe I wasn't using the right search term? I'm near Redwood City, CA if anyone has any ideas. I just don't have the time to wait for a delivery. I'm a bit bummed that FASS expects you to re-use the ones you have rather than provide fresh ones. I'm replacing my second Carter pump, and they came with new washers! |
Check (Google, Yellow Pages, etc) to see if there's a diesel injection, or large truck shop near you.
Some might be open 24/7. If you were closer, I make it a point to always keep a few spares on hand for all the frequently used seals, gaskets for all my vehicles. |
I'll look into that, thanks!

NAPA usually carries them. The ones you have/had are probably the metal/rubber ones, but the copper ones will work just as well.
