Which auto trans fluid to use?
Which trans fluid would you recommend for automatic?
I know the book recomends Mopar but is there something compatible or better?

Most of the diesel tranny gurus recommend Dexron plus two bottles of Lube-Gard additive. If you want to spend more money for the same result use ATF+3.

2002 calls for ATF+4 fluid.

If you drive hard and/or with your towing, synthetics will give better high temp protection. Amsoil's ATF meets ATF+4 and is preferred by many here...including me.
